SkyDrive, SkyDrive

I thought posting on the download page and the support forum were good enough.

Good News and Bad News.
Bad News is that SkyDrive increased to 25G and the current build is not compatible.

Good News: Once we make it compatible again, you have 25G SkyDrive from Windows Explorer.

Very exciting! Let's see...

Great product so far! I installed Gladinet yesterday and SkyDrive was working for a few hours at least. I can't wait to get the new bits. Please hurry!
I've used Gmail Drive from viksoe.dk a long time, but it stopped working some months ago. Tried to use Gladinet with SkyDrive, but it didn't work. After reading your blogpost about the new 25 GB version, I undestand why :) Looking forward to try the new version of Gladinet soon!

I think your product is awesome, and I'm sure you're working hard on getting SkyDrive back up and running. I look forward to it. Great job!

Is it only possible to get an account by being invited? Or did I miss something? When I installed and requested an account it said something like that...

Carl, please see Jerry's reply in the following thread in our forum.

Basically we have two versions, the standalone and the standard. Only the standalone is released on Beta right now.

Thanks a lot!
Now, if I could only get rid of that "Failed to map drive:1203" I'd probably be on my way. :)

Any idea when we can expect Gladinet to work with the new skydrive?

Is there a way to signup for an alert to know when the new build is available.

The skydrive 25G compatible build will be available 12/12/2008.

12/12 - 12/15. There are some new issues found by early adopters.

I can't wait until the new release for skydrive is done! I've been checking this site everyday for the last week. I can't wait to try out your product.

Haha good, I'm glad I'm not the only one constantly checking :)

I can't wait to really try this software out!

This is still beta software. When skydrive fix is ready, make sure you try it on non-critical machines. It takes some time for the beta to improve to release level. There are quite some known issues reported in the support forum for beta 1. I think beta 2 will be the one worth waiting. When it reaches release level, then we are talking about serious use.

Yes, I know this is beta software. I really wanna test it out for you guys. I have lots of IT experience and a degree. Id do anything to help you guys out with this. I had an idea for a program similar to this a few months back, then I heard about you guys and how far along you are with it. I wish all of you the best of luck.

Thank you for the latest patch to get skydrive working. I am pleased to say it is working quite well. I am able to access all of my folders and their sub-folders. I am to copy to, paste to, and delete any file I have on my skydrive. These changes are instantly felt on the main skydrive website as well. The main problems I have is when I attempt to stream music or video off of skydrive directly to vlc or windows media player. It causes vlc and wmp to crash fairly quickly. In case you weren't planning on making gladinet able to stream, I believe it would be a great feature to include maybe in future builds. I can't wait to see the latest complete build this monday.

By the way my specs are:
XP SP2
core 2 duo 2.0 GHZ
3GB RAM

Sorry, I forgot to mention this. It hangs and crashes explorer whenever I click any file and get a context menu. It freezes nearly immediately unless the file is extremely small. Also, every once and a while I go to my drive and it says access denied, then I go back to it in a few seconds and it takes me to my drive as normal.
