Getting Started with AT&T Synaptic Storage

This article shows how Gladinet Cloud Server makes it easy to access AT&T Synaptic Storage. Before you begin, we recommend that you have your credentials for AT&T Synaptic Storage. This will be done in four steps: 1.    Download and Install Gladinet Cloud Server. 2.    Create a Gladinet Account. 3.    Attach AT&T Synaptic Storage to Gladinet Cloud Server. 4.    Publish the attached storage for use on your network. Download and Install Gladinet Cloud Server Click here to start the download: http://gcloud.gladinet.com/p/download_cloud_server.htm . Select the 32-bit or 64-bit download based on your system and after the download completes, select “Run”.

HTML 5 Multi-File Upload to Gladinet Cloud

In the New Features for the New Year article, we mentioned the new HTML 5 and Flash based Multiple-File upload. This article will cover the new feature in more detail. In the Gladinet Cloud for Teams product, There are 4 different ways to connect and use the cloud storage, from the desktop; from a file server; from web browser or from a mobile phone. Web-Based File Explorer may be the most convenient way to access files, however, compared to the native clients on desktop, file server or iPhones, it may have more limits imposed by the web browser, since web browser was designed to sand-box things running inside the browser so it only have controlled access to the local files. HTML 5 makes it easy to do drag and drop upload from local files to web browser and then upload to cloud storage. Share Files with Anyone Using Gladinet Cloud

Sometime ago, we covered how an admin can create a team folder for the team members to share and collaborate. The concept there was more like a file server kind of sharing, where everyone on the team sees the same folder. In the new features for the new year article, we mentioned there is new sharing feature, which allows you to share files and folders on-demand. This article covers on-demand sharing. When you have an urge to attach big files and big folders to an email and send to someone else, you can use Gladinet Cloud for that (without the email attachment part). Especially for the sharing of folders, it is so much easier than zip everything up and send to someone in email. Step 1 – Login to Gladinet Cloud and Share On the www.gladinet.com website, you can click the LOGIN link to login. After that, you can browse to a folder that you want to share and click the Share folder … menu.

Gladinet Cloud iOS App for Team Edition

Today the Gladinet Cloud iPhone & iPad application shows up in the Apple iOS App Store. It is an important feature addition to the Gladinet Cloud for Teams. The native iOS application allows Team Edition users easily browse and view their files and folders in the Gladinet Cloud.  In addition to the cross-browser web client, the PC desktop client, the file server virtual file system client, now there is Gladinet iOS client.   After you download and install the iOS client, the first screen is the login screen.

Happy New Year 2012! Over the weekend, a new version of Gladinet Cloud for Teams was released to the web, including the web service itself and the desktop client. There will be a series of articles following up to document each and every major new feature. This article will summarize what is new in the Gladinet Cloud for Teams . File and Folder Sharing In the old version, there is already some folder sharing concept such as the Team Folder. With the team folder, the team administrator can publish a folder to the team to share. The use case here is more for a team inside the same company to collaborate. In the new version, now you can share files and folders to anyone has an e-mail address.  The use case here is more for you to share something with someone outside the company. You can start sharing by click on the Sharing button inside the web based file explorer. If you have the desktop client installed, you can do it from your Windows Explorer too.
